Dr. Eric Goodman Teaches How to Do The Founder, Foundation Training’s Best Exercises for Posture

How to Do the Founder:

One of the most important things you can do for your health is to strengthen the posterior chain of muscles on the back of your body.

The fastest way Dr. Eric Goodman knows to get there is to learn The Foundation Training Founder.

To do The Founder, place your feet hip width apart and place your weight on your heels. Stand up as tall as you can. Then hinge the hips back until you feel a light tension at your lower back.

Reach your hands forward counterbalance, and as your hands go forward, pull your hips back a little further, keeping the lower back braced. Try to keep your spine long and strong.

As the hips continue to pull back you want to get a little bit of tension in the hamstrings. This is the most efficient way to stretch the entire posterior chain of muscles. This will also teach these muscles to absorb tension.

Muscles go from long to short. If you want to make them stronger you may want to first teach them to absorb as they lengthen before creating force as they shorten.

The Founder is the perfect way to integrate the muscles of the posterior chain. It is one of the safest exercises you can do. It can fix lower back pain and a lot of other chronic pains in the neck, shoulder, hips and knees.

If you want to learn more about it, I recommend you read this Foundation Training Review and take a look at Dr. Eric Goodman's exercises, book, videos, DVD set and certification program.
