Understanding Muscle Chains

In 2009, Thomas Myers published a ground breaking textbook called “Anatomy Trains”. His book focused on explaining the structure and function of muscle chains connected by fascia.

Fascia is a spider-web like tissue that wraps organs in our bodies, including muscle and bones. There are several natural fascia connections that allow groups of muscles to work better in unison.

The most well-known group of muscles connected by fascia is known as “The Posterior Chain”. This is the main muscle chain responsible for keeping the human body upright. It is also the chain that is most affected by today’s unnatural postures and movement patterns.

Foundation Training is supremely effective at rehabilitating and strengthening this muscle group.
